Battery Captain

This role goes to the leader of the drumline. They organize practices and decide which music to play. In the past it was the CCWB, but since the rebirth it has its own leader.

Chief Centurion of the Warrior's Band

The Chief Centurion of the Warriors Band, abbreviated as CCWB, is the leader of the Waterloo Warriors Band and is the name of the President role under the Constitution. CCWBs are numbered using Roman numerals.

Jobs:

The CCWB must:
The CCWB and Treasurer also have signing authority to the band's bank account.

Summer CCWB:

Until the Constitution was enacted in 1171, there would traditionally be a summer CCWB filling in for when the regular CCWB was away for the spring term (for co-op, for example). As the band is generally easier to run in the spring term compared to any other term, it was used as a training term, and the summer CCWB would potentially become a regular CCWB the following year.

Deputy Chief Centurian of the Warrior's Band

The Deputy Chief Centurion of the Warriors Band, abbreviated as DCCWB, is the Chief Centurion's second-in-command. In the past, up to two band members have held this position at the same time. The Constitution suggests that DCCWBs may also hold other executive positions.

Jobs:

The DCCWB must:

Navigator

The navigator takes care of all location-based tasks.

Jobs:

The navigator must:

Quartermaster

The Quartermaster is responsible for the management of the equipment and supplies of the band, performing the duties of both the Equipment Manager and Music Manager, formerly two separate roles. The Quartermaster is also somewhat responsible for the logistics of moving the band, although this duty is shared largely with the Chief Centurion. They hold the unique constitutional power of being able to appoint a band member as a pseudo-executive, a power not possessed by any other executive.

The Quartermaster must:

Secretary

The Secretary holds the historical role of recording the meetings of the Executives. The position more recently includes the duty to review and revise the Constitution.

Retired Roles

Fruit Bat Keeper

The Fruit Bat Keeper was an Executive position mentioned in CCWB Emma Christine's "How Do I Run the Warriors Band". It was abolished with the introduction of the modern Constitution, but it may have been left unfilled before that.

Jobs:

Emma Christine's document only describes the role as "Enough said." Presumably, the Band kept a pet fruit bat, and this exec was responsible for taking care of it.

Equipment Manager

This was the old name for the Quartermaster minus the responsibilities of the music.

Jobs:

The Equipment Manager would:

Media Liaison

The Media Liaison was a former executive position. The position was unanimously voted out in the 1171-68 executive meeting and is not included in the Constitution.

Jobs:

According to the CCWB guide by CCWB Emma Christine, the Media Liaison "makes your posters, helps create promotions, books Vendor's Alley, tries to get us in Imprint, tweets for the band, and takes care of photos."

Music Manager

The music manager is the other part of the Quartermaster that deals with the music for the band.

Jobs:

The main job of the Music Manager is to maintain and organize all sheet music and music books.

PAC

Locations

PAC 1001 is the band's practice room. The band often practices in the main part of the room, while equipment is stored in the Band Storage Room PAC 2012, although in the event of agreeable weather, practice may take place immediately outside. PAC 1001 is also used by groups other than the Warriors Band: first aid courses have been held in it, and it has been used as a changing room for varsity sports teams visiting Waterloo from other universities. On 1191-86, PAC 1001 was closed temporarily for renovations as part of the SLC/PAC Expansion.
It has since been opened, and from 1249-1251 it is the band's practice location.
The other practice room is PAC 2021.

PAC Coordintors

The current PAC Coordinator is Kaitlyn McDonell.

Notable Execs

All execs played a crucial role in the band's history. However, some need to be noted.

David Greenburg

David Greenburg is one of the founders and first CCWB of the band. Without him this whole thing would not exist.
There is also a David Greenburg Award. Details on this award are lost to time except the fact it was made in David's honour.

Eva Pearson

Eva Pearson was the Technomancer from 1241-1215. She is responsible for the recreation/major update for the Warriors Band website and the wiki you are reading this from. Making major updates to the website in 1241, once more in 1251, and recreating the wiki from 1241-1215.

Johann Tutor

Johann Tutor was a Technomancer of the Warriors Band. He was responsible for the overhaul of the website in 1149. He was additionally responsible for the creation of the original wiki in 1175 at the suggestion of CCWB Nicholas Boyko.
The website and wiki Johann created are only availible through the Wayback Machine and serve as the foundations for the website/wiki created by Eva in 1241 and 1251, respectively .
Johann is also responsible for the migration of the website/wiki going from a server at his home to the university's CS servers.

Nicholas "Nick" Boyko

Nicholas "Nick" Boyko was a Chief Centurion of the Warriors Band. He was in power from 1155 to 1171. Nick's accomplishments during his term as CCWB included the following:
During the 1171 term, Nick put a democratic constitution into place, prompted by new requirements from Athletics. The new constitution specified that a Chief Centurion could only hold office for three consecutive terms. Since this occurred during his sixth term as Chief Centurion, Nick decided to step down at the end of the term. Nick also serves as the new start for the band's CCWB numbering system, where the n stands for Nick.
As a farewell gift from his executive team, Nick was impeached on 1171-89. After this incident, Gaetan Boue, the senior DCCWB at the time, became Chief Centurion.
The three consecutive term rule would be removed by Will Wright in the year 123X.

Steve Hayman

Steve Hayman was the ninth Chief Centurion. He was instrumental in the purchase of many of the band's current collection of instruments. In 1175, he was the leader of Argonotes.
